Rebecca Joffrey

Rebecca Joffrey is IT Innovation Officer at Cornell University where she is leading technology initiatives to support the institution’s focus on an improved student experience. Prior to Cornell, Rebecca was Director of the Career Development Office at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She was one of the first people in higher ed to use CRM (constituent relationship management) tools to empower student job searches. During her tenure, Business Week magazine ranked Tuck #1 in career placement two years in a row. 97% of the school’s MBA students found work within three months of graduation. Her work at Tuck and Cornell led to her role as PI on a grant from the Salesforce Foundation that involved 15 schools in producing an open-source student engagement platform for the higher education community. Rebecca’s early career was spent in marketing and product management at Nestle and American Express (MBA intern). She is founder of The LookOut, an online mentoring system, acquired in 2003. She is also co-editor of a two-book series called This Day in the Life: Diaries from Women Across America (Random House, 2005) in which women from all backgrounds document their lives on a single day. Rebecca is a graduate of The American University and has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
