Usability testing is super important and easier than you think

Whatever the purpose of your website, delighted users are a good thing. They’ll appreciate your organization, hang out on your site longer, accomplish what they came to do, and leave with a deep feeling of serenity and well-being. Improving usability can even drive conversions and decrease spending on marketing campaigns.

But how do you know if your site is usable? We'll show you how to run DIY usability tests with minimal equipment, time, and money. (Spoiler alert—you don’t need a fancy lab or eye-tracking software.) We’ll cover how to recruit users, how to write and run tests, how to read tester’s minds, how to collect the data, and how to use it to inform design decisions. There will be audience participation opportunities and prizes for our intrepid volunteers!
